VIDEO: How to care for your glass-ceramic cooktop

Glass-ceramic is especially suited to cooktops. Its sleek design screams new and modern—even though we’ve been making CERAN since 1971. More than 40 years later, industrial designers are offering new visions for this classic kitchen centerpiece, and it’s bringing induction cooking into the mainstream.

It’s easy to see why so many kitchens have a glass-ceramic cooktop: It can withstand the high temperatures of cooking, and can even take some bumps without cracking. We’ve put it to the test plenty of times, showing you pan drop tests and simulated soup can drops that prove how tough glass-ceramic can be.

Glass-ceramic cooktops can look as good as new even years later, but only if you take good care of them. But first, you need to know how to properly clean your glass-ceramic cooktop, what kind of pots and pans you should use, what tools you should avoid.

Watch this video to learn everything you need to know about caring for your CERAN cooktop.

If you gather the right cleaning tools, attack messes as soon as they happen, and take care with pots and pans, you can enjoy your glass-ceramic cooktop for years to come.
